This is a public institution for tourism, founded by the Ljutomer Commune in 1999.
It carries out public service in the field of Tourism. It employs three people. One, the director has a steady job, and two people do public work.
The activities of the LTO Prlekija are:
- organising guided excursions in Prlekija
- providing information on what the tourist area Prlekija has to offer
- information for the visitors
- promotion of the tourist area Prlekija
- encouraging the development of the tourist infrastructure in Prlekija
- organising the local guided tours
- participating in the offers of the Slovenian Tourist Board
- including activities of the local tourist clubs that work in public interest
- publishing tourist brochures
- communicating with the tourist markets in Slovenia and abroad
- developing new cycle routes, walks and riding routes
